Business Development Manager

As our BDM, you’ll be responsible for winning new accounts with some of the largest and best known global brands, enabling us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of people in organisations around the world.

The core elements of this role are as follows:

  • Our Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be presenting you with high quality and quantity of leads, and using BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) qualification criteria you will be expected to qualify further to demo, proposal, negotiation and close.
  • You will be expected to present a 90 day rolling sales plan with key measurements on pipeline build and account focus.
  • Once opportunities are qualified, you will need to guide them through our demo, sales process & play book. We use HubSpot as a CRM and you will be expected to use it daily.
  • You will be expected to run and report on weekly sales update meetings with the Miindset sales and marketing team.

The role is to close new business opportunities and you will have the full support of the Miindset team. This is an outbound proactive new logo opportunity working in conjunction with and not relying on the SDR team.

  • Being on the frontline requires you to lead both internally and externally, and specifically from an internal perspective, you will support coaching and mentoring SDR’s to get better lead flow. You will lead work with but not manage our SDRs.
  • Build: Help to build new marketing and sales collateral, as well as standard template SaaS proposals.
  • Collaborate: Create close working relationships with people across the business, with a particular focus on our CEO, CTO (Presales) and Marketing teams.
  • Optimise: Take ownership of both suggesting and support to implement Miindset sales process improvements.

Skills and Experience


  • A great track record in senior sales role(s) within a B2B SaaS software environment, with at least 5 years of closing experience. Success in closing quotas circa £650k ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) plus consistently Qtr on Qtr.
  • Prove past sales performance with P60s
  • Proven ability to manage a large scale sales pipeline, identifying and closing software deals of at least £50,000+ ARR.
  • Ability to strike the perfect balance between being persistent and relentless, ensuring that we are always at the forefront of the minds of the key stakeholders in our target accounts.
  • Articulate communicator, both verbal and written– with the confidence to challenge the status quo internally and objection handle externally.
  • Ability to forge and build relationships at a senior level - crossing multiple sectors and geographies.
  • Autonomous attitude, you do not require or like sales micro-management.
  • Hungry to make Miindset the go to leader within workplace mental health.
  • A genuine and great human. We have built a special team and want to keep it that way.


  • Experience in a start-up as well as a large corporate.
  • Experience of selling either an employee benefits / wellbeing / HR product would be ideal, as well as experience of selling into HR departments .
  • Selling HR software.
  • Passion for mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
